The core purpose
of GMMAC
GMMAC is developing insurance, preparation financing and supplementary retirement for MMA practitioners and fighters, from their first training session to life after competition. These proposed services remain subject to eligibility, approved rules and partner contracts.
A project in development

Three proposed services. One purpose: support the people who practise MMA, prepare to compete and build a future beyond the cage.

Finance fight preparation
with Pockets PRO
A proposed advance on all or part of the guaranteed appearance purse, before the event. Win bonuses are excluded.
Pockets PRO would use part of the Support Fund’s capital to finance eligible contracts. Interest would return in full to the Fund, supporting its long-term social purpose within the investment policy.
- The combat organisation is a GMMAC member
- The fighter holds an active GMMAC DSP
- The fighter holds a minimum Black grade
- The professional contract is registered and validated in the GMMAC system
Once the four conditions are met, the proposed payment target is within 48 business hours. The advance is net of applicable negotiated discount and service fees, to help fund training, nutrition and travel.
Professional contributions support Pockets PRO and future retirement through the Support Fund. Ordinary insurance and the Solidarity Mechanism have separate funding arrangements; their resources must remain identifiable.
A Support Fund
for life after competition
The proposed Support Fund would finance eligible fighters during their careers and build resources for supplementary retirement. Its capital target depends on contributions and investment results.
5%Organisations contribute 5% of appearance purses and win bonuses.
Allocation of the amount collected
95%To the Support Fund
5%To GMMAC operations
This contribution does not directly fund insurance premiums.
GMMAC is a project for a nonprofit association in formation. The Fund would accumulate resources for supplementary retirement and finance Pockets PRO. Its legal form, jurisdiction and operating protections are still being developed.
Two proposed retirement paths
Early activation · from age 45
50% of the benefit until age 55, then the full benefit for 20 years.
Deferred activation · from age 55
The full benefit for life.
Subject to eligibility and approved funding rules. Individual amounts remain to be determined. Stopping competition does not automatically trigger a payment.
- Active GMMAC DSP and Black belt, Black+ or higher
- At least five years of professional seniority
- Certified professional fights in a member organisation; minimum fight count still to be determined
- Rights based on seniority and sporting level, under a benefit scale still to be approved
Protection when required insurance
is missing
The proposed Solidarity Mechanism applies when a member federation has not obtained the required insurance. It concerns a documented serious bodily accident during a competition, training session or event under that federation, for a beneficiary with an active DSP.
Verified lack of required insurance, the severity threshold set by the scheme’s rules and policy limits apply. Medical costs, disability and death benefits follow the policy schedule. A licensed partner insurer would carry the insurance risk; recovery against the defaulting federation follows a separate contractual procedure.
- Verified absence of required federation insurance
- Documented serious accident linked to a member federation
- Active DSP and the applicable severity threshold
- Policy benefits and limits; separate recovery procedure
